we had to caulk around the surround that was added to make the insert fit because . . . . it didn't fit. now that we have gone thru about five cords of wood we found that they need to install . . duh . . an elbow connecting the stove to the long pipe that runs up thru the chimney. It's on order. We are into 2010 and it is in the 20's today. . . .
